About Semrush
Semrush sells a marketing platform covering keyword research, rank tracking, competitor analysis, content tools and AI visibility. Its affiliate program runs on Impact and pays a fixed bounty per sale, sized by the toolkit the customer buys and your quarterly sales tier, plus $10 per free trial activation. The rate card has four tiers: Basic (0 to 4 sales a quarter), Silver (5 to 19), Gold (20 to 49) and Platinum (50+). Semrush One pays $300, $350, $400 or $450 across those tiers. The Social and Local toolkits pay $50 to $80. On top of bounties, Semrush pays $150 for publishing two qualifying content pieces and a quarterly content bonus of up to $1,500 at the top tier. The program did not always pay a bounty. The in-house BeRush program paid up to 40% recurring. On 1 October 2020 Semrush replaced it with a bounty program on ShareASale, then moved that program to Impact on 9 June 2021.

Promotional rules
What Semrush allows and forbids before you promote it.
- PPC is conditional: every PPC campaign must be pre-approved by the Semrush affiliate team.
- Bidding on Semrush brand keywords or misspellings (the page lists Smerush, Semrash, Sem rush and Semrus) is banned, and direct linking and ad hijacking are never allowed.
- Coupon, cashback, deal and generator websites are generally not approved.
- Self-referrals and commission sharing are prohibited, including buying or creating accounts for yourself, relatives or employees.
- Semrush trademarks may not be used in domain names, social media account names or community names.
- Applications built only on email or paid advertising, and promotion through forums, browser extensions, apps or offline methods, are generally declined.
- Presenting a free trial as a coupon or discount, or advertising invalid trials or offers, is prohibited.
Requirements
Applications go through Impact and are reviewed by Semrush against the contact details and promotional properties supplied. The landing page says reviews normally take about two working days but can take longer. Semrush recommends signing up with an email on your website's domain and verifying your properties on Impact, or the application may be declined for unverified contact details.
- An Impact account with verified contact information and promotional properties
- For content creators, a website with at least 1,000 unique monthly visitors, or a social page or channel with typically at least 1,000 organic followers
- Channels relevant to online marketing or a niche with audience overlap; applications with no links to a website, blog or social account are declined
Who this is best for
Good fit
- SEO bloggers and YouTubers with at least 1,000 monthly visitors or followers, the stated floor for content creators
- Publishers who can close 5 or more sales a quarter, which lifts every bounty from the Basic to the Silver rate
- Agencies, consultants, speakers and educators, whom Semrush explicitly invites to apply
Poor fit
- Affiliates who want recurring income: renewals earn nothing under the bounty model
- Coupon and deal sites, which Semrush generally does not approve
- Email-only or paid-ads-only affiliates, whose applications are generally declined
Pros and limitations
Pros
- A Semrush One sale pays $300 at the Basic tier and $450 at Platinum
- Trial activations earn $10 each even when the user never buys
- Content earns on its own: $150 for two qualifying pieces, and up to $1,500 in quarterly bonuses
- The 120-day last-click window gives a slow-deciding reader four months to buy
Limitations
- Each sale pays once; a customer's renewals are worth nothing to the affiliate
- Bounty size depends on which toolkit the customer picks, from $50 on Social or Local to $450 on Semrush One
- Top rates need 50+ sales a quarter; the Basic tier covers 0 to 4
- No minimum payout is published on Semrush's public pages; withdrawals follow Impact's processing by EFT or PayPal
How to join
- 1Create an Impact account, ideally with an email on your own website's domain
- 2Verify your promotional properties on Impact
- 3Complete the application form on Semrush's affiliate landing page
- 4Watch your inbox for the decision, normally within about two working days

Editor's notes
Semrush's commission on new sales has been a one-time bounty since 1 October 2020, when it replaced the in-house BeRush program, whose FAQ quoted up to 40% recurring, with a bounty program on ShareASale; the program then moved to Impact on 9 June 2021. The October 2020 announcement said existing BeRush re-bills would remain, so the switch applied to new sales rather than cutting off earlier referrals.
